Our Grants
Our endowment has been funded by individuals who have seen the impact music can have in a person’s life. The unique experience of barbershop singing is an American tradition that brings families and friends together in song.
We are looking for talented individuals and groups that have a strong interest in singing barbershop music. Our funds are easy to obtain through a simple application process. We want barbershoppers to partner with music educators and singers of all types to devote their energies to spreading the joy of barbershop singing in both proven and new ways. We will provide funding support for ideas and projects that meet that challenge. We look to fund many such projects in the hopes that we will find and encourage ideas that bring people into lifelong barbershop singing, community, and enjoyment. We also would like to encourage those impacted by these new ideas and programs to experience the Barbershop Harmony Society, a society built for Barbershop learning and camaraderie.
In addition to providing funds in the form of grants, our Board Members have at the disposal a vast wealth of resources to help educate about barbershop. We can help enlist local barbershoppers for training and education for our grantee’s programs, often at no cost.
